The short version
- We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
- You can use the site and play the games with a keyboard. Buttons have labels for screen readers.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, the site and games calm their animations.
- The games can be paused, and their sound and music can be turned off.
- Something not working for you? Tell us at [Contact email] or by DM to @DiponSol_ on X.
1. Our goal
We want anyone to be able to read this site, find the official links and play the games, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We are not there everywhere yet. This page says where we fall short, so you know what to expect.
2. What we do
- Keyboard. Every page has a “Skip to content” link, and links and buttons can be reached with the Tab key. Market Run can be played with the keyboard, and Esc or P pauses it.
- Screen readers. Pages use headings, landmarks and lists. Images have text descriptions, and decorative pictures are hidden from screen readers. Game buttons, such as Pause and Jump, have labels. The games also announce some events, such as turning sound on or off, through a message area that screen readers read out.
- Reduced motion. If you turn on “reduce motion” on your device, the site switches off its moving background, smooth scrolling and most animations, and the games tone down their effects.
- Sound. Market Run has separate Sound and Music switches, and the games never need sound to play.
- Video. The videos on this site are short, silent background clips. They have no speech, so they do not need captions, and they are hidden from screen readers.
- Touch. On phones, the games show large on-screen buttons, and links are spaced to be easy to tap.
- Plain words. We try to keep pages short and labels clear.
3. What still falls short
- Fast games. Market Run is a fast-paced game drawn on a canvas. It needs quick reactions and good timing, and it cannot be played with a screen reader alone. It may be hard or impossible for some players. You can pause at any time and turn the sound and music off.
- The weekly leaderboard. Because the leaderboard ranks fast play, players who need more time may find it hard to compete. Anyone can still play for fun.
- Story pages. Some story pages use dark, atmospheric pictures, decorative lettering and moving effects. Some people may find parts of them hard to read.
- Other sites. Links to X, pump.fun, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube take you to sites we do not control. Their accessibility is up to them.
4. Tell us about a problem
If something on this site does not work for you, please tell us. Email [Contact email] or send a DM to @DiponSol_ on X.
It helps if you tell us:
- which page or game it was;
- what went wrong, or what you could not do;
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use, such as a screen reader.
We will reply as soon as we can, and try to fix the problem or give you the same information another way.
5. How we checked
The Dippy team checked the site itself, using a keyboard, the reduced-motion setting and our own reviews of the code. It has not been audited by an outside company. We update this page when we make changes.
